Mei Translation Help

The mei reads Hissho Kato Jumyo (必勝 加藤壽命). Hissho is a slogan of the will to win.

i also have been watching the bidding on this ebay sword...now that its out there and icant sneak in at the last heres some more info on the kato yoshinosuke Jumyo he was a teacher to Kanefusa the 23rd, a well ranked smith. i suppect a sound sword lies within, interesting silver wash on the fittings, i have only seen that a time two at sword shows. Good luck all you snipers on this, dont look like im in on the cheap this time.

Sorry, but i have to stress that mei looks like someone chisseled it yesteday, many of WW2 swords are machine made blades if i am not mistaken, this sword looks like one of them...or i need to buy myself new glasses :lol:

the mei has talc added to it to make it stand out not sure how you can say it looks like it was done yesterday....one cant really tell untill its in hand ...correct?

absolutely true Stephen..., it very hard to judge the sword by the pictures and sorry i didn't knew about the talc, my apologies...am going to the store to buy new pair of glasses

check the auction again he added more pix showing a intersting hamon with a pro polish this may be..... verrry nice i like!
