MarcoUdin Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 If anybody could translate what's written on this holster, I'd greatly appreciate it. Quote
Shugyosha Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 Hi Marc, I think it’s a family name, Kigisa: 木々佐 There may be other ways to pronounce it though. Quote
MarcoUdin Posted March 15, 2022 Author Report Posted March 15, 2022 Thank you for the responses gentlemen Quote
MarcoUdin Posted March 16, 2022 Author Report Posted March 16, 2022 Looks like it's a pretty common name as quite a few pop up when I search soldier names. Quote
SteveM Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 Yes, it is one of the most common last names in Japan. 1 Quote

SteveM Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 Yes, numbers on top and then katakana on bottom. I would guess プロ― or ブロー (or maybe just フロー) but considering the name is written right to left, I'm not sure how this one is to be read, or its significance. I'm also not sure what the character is next to the 25 (or 26?). 1 Quote
MarcoUdin Posted March 24, 2022 Author Report Posted March 24, 2022 My guess is is 251, which the 1 has the bottom line as well. Thank you very much Steve! Quote
