Brian Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Ouch. HaaaaaGiri! ..bless you :D Nice blade though. Did you discover that after the purchase or before? You have seen the pics of my hagiri blade....before I traded it. The rest of the blade didn't justify keeping it. Exactly the same place as yours. But I could overlook a hagiri if the rest of the blade made up for it, as this one seems to do. Brian Quote
Bungo Posted November 22, 2006 Author Report Posted November 22, 2006 black rust under the habaki, whole tanto shows no hamon ( dull grey ), bought it for the koshirae. Big Mo informed me about the hagiri at the foundation polish stage, I went ahead and have it polished................ looks great with habaki on best looking tsunagi ( spelling ? ) in the world lesson.......... think why the sword is suriage and look under habaki, why the black rust while the rest of the sword is just dull grey. milt THE ronin Quote
