For sale is a very nice Gendai by Muto Yukihiro, dated November 1941. A large and imposing sword done in Hizen style with a nice Suguha Hamon with ashi. There is a filled rust spot and some staining at the Kissaki, otherwise in lovely condition.

Width at Hamachi: 3.2cm/1.25"

I’m very fond of this one, things like the long kissaki and robust proportions. Sometimes I forget Showa blades can be imposing like this. It’s also from a tradition I like.
If I hadn’t already spent my budget I would buy it.
