While looking at this through magnification trying to see the ivory lines I stumbled across this signature hidden in the kimono pattern. Have never seen the signature hidden before.

here's a reply I received on an Asian art forum,

 

(呂 "Lü" is a typical Chinese surname. 权 "Quán"
is a given name. This is the simplified form of character of 権 which is not used in Japan)

Thanks Howard,

 

I got the first character (in Japanese though) but as I failed on the second I already assumed it has to be Chinese….🤓
