I recently came into possession of a collection of blades from different eras, And different countries.   Among these are a Shin Gunto, and a Japanese Dagger that appears to be of military issue ( I will create a separate post )

I don't know much about these,  so hopefully I can get a little bit of help.

I do not know how to disassemble the blade,  so these are the pictures I could get.   The blade edge seems to be a little rough,  with some notching in places,  a d scratches...

Numbers match on both the blade and the sheath..

Suya Type 95 sword for NCOs. Later example with the Tokyo star stamp and little less common than Kokura stamps. A bit of a rough example though. Mass made, machine made blade which will be unsigned. Nothing to disassemble for and find, so leave it as is. There is a wealth of information about these online, so now you have a model, have a look and see what you can find.

Quick question, I had always thought ( I know little to nothing about NCO's) that the large Tsuba were earlier and they shifted to the iron tsuba later on, kind of like the Type 94 to Type 98. How long were they making them with the big Tsuba?
