ROKUJURO Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Gentlemen,I am the happy owner of an arrow tip, but I can't read the signature. I even don't know if a one-KANJI MEI makes a signature. It is my first YANONE, so I am a bit at a loss here and ask kindly for support. Quote
Bazza Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Jean, I think I see two characters, but we definitely need higher resolution images - and the "right way up" also helps. BaZZa. Quote
ROKUJURO Posted April 6, 2018 Author Report Posted April 6, 2018 Bazza (what is your real name, by the way?),thanks for your comment. I had the MEI photo vertical, but it was turned horizontally in the upload. The camera has/is a problem with magnification. I'll give it another try but I am not optimistical for really good results. Bazza Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Jean, My real name is Barry Thomas, however "Bazza" (which I render as BaZZa, some as BazzZZzza...) is a colloquial nickname for Barry. See a goofy Australian movie called "The Adventures of Bazza McKenzie" (trailer ). Himself. Quote
IanB Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Bazza, Congratulations a nice thing. Yes, rather too small to see, but at least a real arrowhead. So many of these put up for sale are fakes - what gives them away is that they do not have the concave 'neck' at the junction with the tang. Ian Bottomley Quote
ROKUJURO Posted April 6, 2018 Author Report Posted April 6, 2018 Now I have tried to make a better photo of the MEI and replaced the first one. Does that help? Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted April 7, 2018 Report Posted April 7, 2018 At first glance looks like 愛 Ai or 綾 Aya, -ish! What would really help is if you could take a minumum of three shots from different angles. Quote
ROKUJURO Posted April 10, 2018 Author Report Posted April 10, 2018 Piers, thank you!I will provide better photos as soon as I have a better camera! Quote
