Stephen Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 a couple of minor annoyances when I went to post a reply on the Edo thread by Bugsy it took me over to the Nihonto theme ...have to log back in with name and password, I really like the pro sliver and hate to have to stay with nihonto....anything we can do about that? the other Rienhard brought up Why not post images directly? By the way, it's not much fun to be redirected to other pages (click-counters). Nothing personal, just something I wanted to say for a while anyway. Me too! the image shacks that ppl use give us some strange popups ....not good on the old mans heart...not the subject matter, just thinking my PCs going south. PLEASE try to post pix on the NMB's attachment file...OK back to your regular secluded program
Brian Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 No idea why it logged you out. I am tempted to blame AOL sessions again....and it is possible. There has to be a default theme, and I have to pick one, which is the Nihonto theme. When you are logged in, it will show whatever theme you picked, but when you are not logged in then it will always show the default, no way around that. As for external pic hosting, I actually appreciate the occasional outside hosting, as many still have huge pics and don't size them down, and this leads to half meg pics that just use space. We have plenty left, but I am thinking long term. The main thing when using external hosts like imageshack etc is to use the link there marked "direct link to image" which doesn't have popups and shows the pic directly. Or one of the thumbnail ones that don't have popups. Experiment with their 8 different links they offer. All are welcome to use the hosting here, but remember to resize smaller than 800 width and don't keep a resolution of 200 or 300..as that makes for a huge file when 100 is perfectly adequate for most needs. A decent pic of about 600x600 shouldn't be more than about 200k or so. Brian
