Stephen Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 Searching Hawley for Kunitsugu i ran across his description of a way to write Kuni. its the standard square box Kuni but the inter marks must have diff stroke count? Can anyone show a example or have your heard of such a thing? Looking in stroke count page from koza, i see three kuni any idea which one would be the screen door...? Quote
John A Stuart Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 There is this, 囲 not kuni though. It means encircle or surround. Could be used as in surroundings. Pronounced kako or i. John 1 Quote
Stephen Posted July 22, 2015 Author Report Posted July 22, 2015 Thanks John looks normal kuni to me Quote
John A Stuart Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 That's a very individual kanji. It is as if it has a Buddhist connotation within it. 卍 or as in 区 'ku'. Not a standard anyway. John Quote
