Any Signifigance To Matching Habaki?

Hello,

I recently bought my first Nihonto ( a vet bringback mumei Wakizashi ) and have been studying both it and as many sources of information as I can find in hopes of making an informed guess at it's age/ origin. During such study I came across a similar blade ( for sale ) with the exact same  Habaki  as my blade. How rare is this? Should it have any bearing on my thoughts about my blade?. Any opinions are appreciated.

Thanks,

R. Wade

This is probably something that stands or falls on specificity. It they're an extraordinairy piece of workmanship (and making habaki can be), sure it could add value.

I can't edit the post above anymore for some reason, but this came to mind. Took half an hour to find the attachement part :bang:

Thanks for the replies,

I intend to post some photos and a short description as soon as I have the time during daylight hours ( I simply cannot get decent photos in the lighting of my shop ). This forum has been a great help and source of information.

Thanks again,

R. Wade
