Veli Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Maybe: 阿波守藤原康綱 I'll leave the rest of the translation to you, you were going into the right direction, but check your translation of the first kanji 1 Quote
PeterS Posted January 31, 2015 Author Report Posted January 31, 2015 Maybe: 阿波守藤原康綱 I'll leave the rest of the translation to you, you were going into the right direction, but check your translation of the first kanji Dear Veli! Thanks. You are great. I'm not an expert in this theme, but i learn if i have enough time :-) Do you think that is it gimei? Thanks again for your help and time. All the best to You. Peter Quote
Veli Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 Well, I am not in a position to say if the mei is valid or not. I found a reference mei in here (scroll down). The mei in this oshigata looks very different from the mei in your post. Quote
PeterS Posted February 2, 2015 Author Report Posted February 2, 2015 Dear Veli! Thank you very much for the oshigata. Looks like very different :-) My friend won't be happy. It's very difficult for beginner to buy a real sword. Thanks again for your help and time. All the best to You. Peter Quote
Brian Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 A false signature (if it does turn out to be gimei which isn't for sure yet) does not make a sword "not real" There are lots of good and genuine swords out there with false signatures. Depends on whether you are collecting swords or signatures. Brian Quote
PeterS Posted February 2, 2015 Author Report Posted February 2, 2015 Dear Brian! Of course, i know. I don't see yet the sword. When he will come to me than i'll see the wakizashi. I told him that i want to make some pix about the blade to post here. I bought a gimei katana (if you remember, a gimei Naotane). The sword looks great, but i don't see even, just told me the Japanese contact who help me at the shipping process. But my friend bought the wakizashi as genuin (i don't know how much money was it). Thank you very much for your help (and for the patient teaching). All the best to You. Peter Quote
PeterS Posted February 19, 2015 Author Report Posted February 19, 2015 Dear Everybody! My friend was in my home and as i agreed i made some picture about the wakizashi. This is a very nice blade. Please help me to identify the blade age and the maker. Thanks in advance. All the best to You. Peter Quote
