New Type 3 Pattern 44 Shin Gunto

G'day Fella's,

 

I'm hoping you can help me out here. I find these chiseled kanji very difficult to decipher. I read the name as:

 

( 一 ) Ichi, Kazu, ( 重 ) Shige, Nobu, ( 年 ) Chika, Toshi

 

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to make sense. As for the kanji on the other side, that seems particularly difficult with the white painted store numbers overwritten. I'd be grateful for some assistance, pictures attached.
