obiwanknabbe Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 I think I got most of this. How did I do? Yama suke(taka) ? Tsune toshi Hiro. I know exactly zero about kozuka. Does anyone know anything about this? School ect? I am inclined to say edo period but beyond that..............? No blade pics as it is unsigned and not tempered. Looks like later addition. Thanks.. ROKUJURO Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 Theme is probably 'Frutti di mare'. The colour of the KOZUKA seems quite uniform on the photos, so I would like to ask if perhaps the patination was lost in this piece? I have rarely seen a plain copper red surface like this. Quote
obiwanknabbe Posted March 1, 2014 Author Report Posted March 1, 2014 Rokujuro, It is actually a little darker in hand. That image was done on a scanning bed so i think it is a bit over exposed. It is more brown in person. Kurt.k Quote
