Show of Shows tips

This is my first time going to the Show of Shows in Louisville Kentucky.

1. Should I just bring cash or will most vendors take checks?

2. Are there any dealers that you guys always make sure to visit?

3. Anything else you had to learn hard way?

Let me ask you a question if you were selling an expensive item would you rather have cash in hand or a check?There are advantages to cash and you know what they involve on a state and federal level.

Ah yah, I'm just nervous about carrying that much money around. Granted it would not make me spend over my limit if they did not accept checks lol.

You can negotiate significative discount if you pay with cash, otherwise Amex, Mastercard, Visa any credit card. In France, cheques are not very appreciated because nobody knows if there is the corresponding provision in Bank...

Arrive early, parking is a mess, you may end up walking a mile to get to the show

 

wear comfortable shoes

 

if you see something you want buy it, you may never find the same table again.

Thank you for the tip Jean, I will just take the money out early and incur the wrath of my wife that much sooner lol.

Mark do you know what your table number is yet? I heard it is so big they give you maps of the convention to find your way through.

I think the table is CC56, introduce yourself, I will have 50 or so swords out but will have some nicer ones under the table

 

they have a dealer listing with table number and probably a map, but bring a compass, flares and binoculars and you MIGHT find your way around, it is massive
