raiden Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Here is a genuine NBTHK result form. This is what we get when the results are finalized from the NBTHK. This is a tosogu result sheet for myself. It shows 4 items that passed and the charge for the pass result is on the right (17,000 jpy equal to todays dollar rate of $170.85) If you ever send an item to Japan and for some reason there is a question, you can ask for this copy as proof of pass, horyu or fail. Brian if you feel that this subject is in any way inappropriate, you may delete this post. Mike Quote
YOJIMBO Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 What means "horyu" ? In which case it can be obtained ? Simon Quote
Dr Fox Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Mike I for one find that of great interest, never having seen one. Can I ask, the charge of 17,000 yen, that is for each item submitted? Does that sum vary for different items? And all items submitted by the same person will be noted on the one form? Also noted the exchange rate is approx, 10 yen to the $, so a quick conversion is relatively easy to do. Quote
Jean Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Thanks Mike, it is very interesting, indeed. Denis, - The fees are for each entry, I don't think NBTHK has wholesale/bundle kanteisho or it will lose its shirts - Fees depends on kanteisho level Simon, Horyu means that further research is required, unlisted artist, unknown mei......no fees charged. It's 100 yen to the $ Just for the record as other people might be put off by a 1700$ charge... Quote
