Tree Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 I would like to take some pix of a sword blade. Anyone know if there is a particular light source that shows the blades qualities best with digital photography. There are plenty of bad pix of sword blades on the net that do nothing to display the quality of the subject. ___________________ All the Best. Tree Quote
AndreasU Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 I also tried a lot already One thing is for sure. You need a lot of indirect light. Each picture you will do with an internal flash will fail. I got the best results with an external flash wire connected to the "hotshoe" of the camera and the flas reverse flashes against a white wall. If you want to use a compact digital you will only get medium pictures. Also a god aproach might be to use a Zoom Lens. Another pratice is to use a flatbed scanner and digititze the blade. There was a page somewhere in the I-Net who discribed that. Quote
