sencho Posted June 2, 2007 Report Posted June 2, 2007 after the recent post on the Nihonto forum I have sidetracked into these questions. Does anyone have a map or outline of the two juristictions of the Nanbokucho Period, detailing the areas held under the Nancho (Southern Court) and Hokucho (Northern Court)? In addition does anyone know of any "rules" for date inscriptions for smiths in a certain province inside the area of one of the two imperial courts? Were there any marginal provinces (geographically) between the two courts' areas of influence? Any provinces that switched allegances back and forth between courts? Were there any provinces outside the two courts' areas of influence? If anyone has any info or can direct me to a website, it would be much appreciated. Just for my historical knowlege more than anything.... Cheers! Quote
