k morita Posted June 8, 2013 Report Posted June 8, 2013 Hi, We have to read two upper sosho-kanji as kana-characters. "ni-no-fuyu" means winter of the 2nd (year). I surmise that [the 2nd,winter] is In winter of the 2nd year of Meiji(1869). Quote
