  6. I would like any opinions if the signature is shoshin or gimei and which generation? I am posting these pictures for a friend. Hawleys list 2 generations in this time period. The sword appears to be signed TsunaToshi and dated 1832 Any thoughts or opinions are always welcomed. Edward G

  9. Need Help with some characters in Mei. I can't read all of it. I think it is Noshu Kane Nao but need help on the two characters above and below the character JU. Any assistance would be appreciated. Getting better at this, but not an expert by any means! Thanks in advance. Edward G

I concede that it seems clear from the posts on this subject that this sword is indeed not correct to all the references! Thank you again for all the important information provided by each of you.   15. I am sincere when I say thank you to both Matt & Ron for your opinions on the inscription. I can see that in Fujishshiro it is not an exact match, but way off is an exaggeration I think, perhaps not an exact match, but then no one I know would sign their signature exactly the same each time. I agree that the kiku does not have pointed petals. Opinions are what I am interested in, so please continue with the comments. Thank You Edward G.
  16. Good evening: This Wakizashi is a recent acquisition. As you can see it has the kiku and is signed Omi No Kame Hisamichi. However, I am not sure it is genuine or gimei. You thorughts and opinions are welcomed. Thank you Edward G.

  23. sorry I do not have any pictures of the blade, it is Wakizashi length in poor condition. One last question on the subject, what time period would you say this smith worked? Thanks Edward G

  25. Hello members: Attached are a few photos of a short Wakizashi that I told a friend I would try to findHello out what it says. Please give me your thoughts on the photos. The old sword is not in very good condition, but it looks to be in the form of a converted Naginata into a sword. Thanks in advance! Edward G.
