  2. This is signed on both sides and is written " the imperial craftsman Gassan Sadakazu at the age of 79 did this. Taisho 3, eighth month on a lucky day (August 1914)

  5. Hello everybody, i would like kindly ask you if you can help me with this tachi i have. It is signed sadatsugu, but which one? I believe this tachi is koto/ muromachi. But not sure. What school you think belongs ( i have the idea is yamato) and which sadatsugu? the sword is huge but light and balanced at the same time. total lenght 103 cm nagasa 79,4cm sori 1,5 cm kissaki 3,4 cm nagako 23,1 cm motohaba 3,1 cm Mune 0,5 cm mune yokote 0,3 cm weight 826 grams
  6. Hello there, I saw some old post regarding this matter. I have this katana that a recognized togishi told me to be a gendaito, no matter the stamp. At firs I thoght to be a showato, but he says it is a gendaito. What do you think of this blade? It has the seki stamp, Moreover it has an own fuchi. This is the story of the sword, and it was told me after one year I had had the sword so there were no reasons to not be the true. "The Katana was taken off of a surrendering Japanese officer who later killed himself (hari-Kari) on March 5th,1945 by Earl Nicholson of the 27th marines,1st battallion" Signature should be Sanjo Yoshikane thanks in advance for your comments.

  8. fantastic Study and very interesting discussion. Compliments and thanks Derek!!!! No one uses Vaseline oil?? here in Italy an important and recognized togishi told me that vaseline is also a very good oil. It should be mineral one and very cheap and easy to get.
