  4. I'm a predominately a Gendai collector. I generaly don't collect anything post war, although I have one sword from 1988. However with my own collecting Jargon, I consider Shinsakuto, to Made by the smiths taught Post war and comming into prominance from the 1970s onwards. I also go on shape and style. One only has to have a shinsakuto in their hands, to know it is a shinsakuto. Again just my opinion' :D David
  5. Thanks Ludolf, I saw the listings in Hawleys and considered him to be the same smith as listed for Hid110 1867 and listed in Token Takai. This sword is signed Tachi Mei and came in 1934 double hanger mounts. David

  11. Quan, one of the ones I saw, was suguha. Another one was a wakizashi with gunome chogi. Wak was listed three times before it sold. David
  12. Every now and then, some nut goes beserk with a sword somewhere in Australia. As most people already know, Victoria already has a legislation in place. NSW, was considering something similar, but has deffered. The problem is, if someone wants to go beserk, they can always find something. David

  14. Quang. I agree it's silly, But the ones I saw were advertised as him. I have a couple, plus a lot of oshigata. I think it may be done to mumei blades. Nagamistus have risen dramaticaly in price, over the last couple of years. David

  18. A friend of mine has a contemporary piece signed Bizen Yokoyama Suketada. It has old, 1981 NBTHK papers. He is listed in Hawley's, as is Sukeharu. Both are listed around the same: C1868. David

  22. This is purely hearsay. I was told the reason so many " unworthy " swords were going Juyo, was something to do with the NBTHK asking for " Donations " for Juyo submissions. David
