THozon Nidai Masashige Tanto Available here is an exceptional signed tanto by Nidai Masashige, son of Muramasa and second headmaster of the Sengo School. I am at least the second or third owner of the blade but I have never submitted it for Juyo myself. Habaki: Gold foiled double Habaki. Koshirae: As shown in photos Blade length : 30.6 cm or 12.04 inches. Sori : 0.4 cm or 0.15 inches. Mekugi : 2 Width at the hamachi : 2.775 cm or 1.09 inches. Kasane : 0.6 cm or 0.23 inches. Era : Muromachi period, Tenbun era(1532-1555). Shape : Wide and rather thick blade with Saki Zori. Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful. Shows some components of the falling snow effect. Hamon : Nie Deki, square Gunome Midare. The Hamon is of uniform on both side. In Ha, there are many Sunagashi and Tobiyaki. Kissaki is round shape. As I said to you in our private chats, I cannot tell you how many times people say they want something, and don't pay. All the while other buyers are losing interest.

print 1 and 2 sold A friend mentioned the scroll might be Showa period and not 19th century. I am open to offers, and I do not know enough about them to say one way or another for sure. So please bare that in mind when buying. Looks very nice on display either way. 🙂

Still open to offers here, but not going to drop the price any more. According to a few people I spoke with this is repaired in some places, and some parts not matching, but still antique, and it displays well. A good price on antique armor. Cheers!
