Justin Grant Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 I am reading my newest book (Nippon Kachu Dai Zukan) and in the illistrations of troops, mixed with Porters, Ashigaru, Samurai and what appear to be high ranking officials (unarmed and without armor), the books places lables next to the people. I can make out the Ashigaru, Porters, and Samurai, but some poeple, dressed as Samurai, and some in court robes have the following Kanji next to them 本人 , so I looked it up in JISHOP software, and it reads 本人 [honnin] the person himself; the said person. What does this mean? Commander, Leader, Highest Ranking, ??? Thanks Justin Quote
