Nobutsune was born in 1765, so this tsuba must have been made in 1831. He was later period in Edo (Musashi no kuni) and may have made this tsuba emulating Owari stylisation (utsushi) to order. I haven't seen other work by him, but, I agree it doesn't seem the usual 'Bushu ju' bori. Still seems a nice plate for the time. John

The design is outstanding...at least in my eyes. Those linear geese at the bottom rock. The contrast of the delicate geese and moon with the strong edges of the sukashi, the balance between heavy and light is wonderful. Thanks.
