As only a loose translation;

 

1st photo;

Nobuie (信家) was an expert on tsuba making and there is no doubt that he was not the Myochin Nobuie (明珍信家). There were several Nobuie(s) and every one of them was known for his exquisite forging in 17th century. They were not the persons in old era like Myochin Nobuie.

 

At the beginning of October in 1937

Kuwabara Sokei? (桑原双蛙; unsure about the reading)

that double frog thingie is attributed to Torigoe ( spelling ? you know who i mean ), I think........... look up haynes catalogs.

Milt -- the appraisal was written by Kuwabara Yojiro but I know what you mean about the seal. The Haynes #7 catalog has the most examples of the different styles of Torigoye's seals and kaos.

PS: I was able to find fourteen variations of mei and kao in that catalog for Torigoye. Unfortunately the files are too large to post but if anyone is interested in this type of technical information pick up a copy as it is the best of the ten produced.
