Kantaro Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 This wooden tag came with a NCO sword. It could contain the name of the owner and the location where used? Quote
John C Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 (edited) Looks like the name at the bottom of the second pic is something (?) mura Kiyoyoshi. John C. Edited March 7 by John C added content 1 Quote

John C Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 I think satomura kiyoyoshi is correct, however it may be pronounced Kiyoshi. 里村 (Satomura): Surname (Village/Home + Village) John C. 2 Quote

Kantaro Posted March 8 Author Report Posted March 8 (edited) @Nobody Thank you very much! Could this be related to a NCO WW2 sword maybe used on a Japanese Navy fuel depot? It was a bad replacement sword probably made outside Japan and the tag came with the sword. A private from the 2/28 Australian Infantry Battalion came home with it. Here are some pictures.
