Translation assistance please

Hi guys, I have recently purchased this Katana in a rough gunto mount which was brought to Australia in 1953 from Singapore.

My resources are very limited and I have not the faintest idea of what it saids.

Hi Steve - May I suggest you check out the "Forum Guidelines and How To's" section for help on posting photos? You are probably trying to post pictures that are too large. I'm sure you will get responses to your request for assistance once the members here have photos of your sword.

Great! thanks Stephen for the help. My computer skills suck of late for some reason.

It came in a scruffy leather cover saya, its a nice old relic just have.
