Gerry123 Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 Herr are some Photos of the Kabuto, as requested Best regards Gerry 1 Quote
Gerry123 Posted February 4 Author Report Posted February 4 As you can see, the Helmet has some damage and even probably a bullet hole from something Quote
Matsunoki Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 Sadly that damage was probably fatal for the wearer. The hole does not immediately look like a matchlock projectile strike to me but something rather more powerful. Can we see the underside of that damage please? Pure speculation but this could have been worn in the face of the better equipped Imperial forces? @Bugyotsuji…..what do you think? Quote
Gerry123 Posted February 4 Author Report Posted February 4 Yes, of course I can take a picture of the inside. I really don't know what kind of ball made the hole. It certainly wasn't an arrow! Quote
Gerry123 Posted February 4 Author Report Posted February 4 Yes, it is certainly possible that the damage was caused by imperial troops; there were conflicts with the samurai, the Boshin War, Shiroyama and Satsuma. Quote
Yoshimune Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 One point is sure this kabuto has suffered ..but it can remain in same state or restored by a katchushi (plate iron, laquer ..) Your choice.. Quote
Justin Grant Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 Here is a bullet hole, in a narigawa kabuto 1 1 1 Quote
