Fathergascan Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Hello again, I've aquired a katana today and believe the yasurime is suji-chigai. Its hard to see the file marks. I am not sure what shape of nakago this is. Sori is 24in 3/8. Looks to have a steep curvature starting at the hilt. I think hamon is suguhu hostsure. Grain looks like itame-hada. (Hard to tell) Has a two piece hibaki with foil on each one. Please do let me know if I got anything wrong, or add any more info thank you! 1 Quote
Rivkin Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Probably Kaga (nakago, suguha) and I would guess later Muromachi one. 1 Quote
ChrisW Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 If you live near someone on the board, you should get some in person opinions! Or visit a token kai meeting. Quote

mecox Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Yes looks like Kaga features, could it be shinto Kiyomitsu school? Quote

You'll have to share what state you reside in to find someone closeby or the nearest token kai! If you're in the midwest, I suggest myself/the Indiana Token Kai. If its on the eastern seaboard, then the NY Token Kai. We have members/token kai scattered throughout the country! Quote

Search the forum and you should be able to find them! Very cool, I just looked into it and found two names in Houston and Austin. I'll contact them to see if that info is current. Thank you! Quote
