nulldevice Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 https://www.aoijapan.com/temporary-suspension-of-ems-shipments-to-the-united-states/ Tsuruta posted this morning a temporary suspension on EMS parcels to the US from their shop. Quote
Lexvdjagt Posted August 26 Report Posted August 26 All postal companies working together with USPS have suspended the shipments to the US. I was told by my contact in the Dutch post that they could no longer work together with USPS because their usual process of dealing with packages would no longer be accepted by customs. I was also told that US customs is extremely unprepared for the entire new shipping situation. This might take a little while unfortunately. Shipping with UPS, DHL express and FEDEX will still be possible. Quote
Rivkin Posted August 27 Report Posted August 27 I suspect within 5 years we'll be back to the era when agents used to fly trans-continental with heaps of collectibles and bags of swords in luggage. Along specific routes that accept "weapons" in luggage. I had multiple failed attempts mailing swords this year to EU and ME and in the end just gave up. Any random shift just hangs the whole process. Was robbed two years back. Buy locally or buy very high end. Quote
