I have this tsuba that is on my Wakizashi and I would like to know possibly the age of it and maybe what school produced this style of tsuba. It also has a signature but it might be pretty hard to see but if someone is able to read it and translate it I would really appreciate it. And also the wakizashi had this koshirae which I was told was supposed to represent taketora(bamboo tiger).

Almost identical tsuba in this older thread, I hope it helps.

Yes,  Tiger and Bamboo theme is common AI says In Japanese culture, the pairing of tiger and bamboo represents strength, courage, and flexibility. The tiger, a symbol of power and resilience, is thought to be the only animal that can navigate dense bamboo forests, making it a metaphor for strong leadership and a harmonious society.

Found another tsuba image Iron-Tsuba-Round-%E6%AD%A6%E5%B7%9E%E4%BD%8F%E6%AD%A3%E6%88%BF-Masafusa-Openwork-Edo-Era.webp   https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/326709526637   Looks like the design is a Bushu speciality.

Grev. Cooke has this in his PDF. image.thumb.png.fbfd5388a4a075aeb7f7dc5e043ba7e2.png   http://www.nihontomessageboard.com/articles/78_Tsuba_from_the_Collection_of_Grev_Cooke.pdf

Thank you for the is very detailed info it really helped me out a lot. After researching more it seems the signature says bushu ju masakata and it seems like he was active around the late edo period. It also seemed like this style of tsuba is a pretty common bushu theme.
