  • Pending a possible move in September-October, a probable tosogu purchase from a fellow group member - going to list a few sub $1000 items.
  • First up is a Late Edo Higo style koshirae. (edited)
  • $850+ shipping.
  • Comes with 2 tsuba: original copper based one and a modern that makes for better display peice.
Length: 101cm. 24cm of tsuka + 77cm of saya. The blade tsunagi is about 74cm in length, so runs relatively deep into the saya.
  • Note 2 old lacquer repairs, as it came to me from Japan.
  • Curran in ATL, Georgia, USA

Menuki pics added.

Plant design.

Nothing epic about the menuki. Serviceable of decent size, and well placed.

Very pretty.
Could you please tell us the "sori" of the blade?
Thank you.

Slight saki-sori of the blade.

3 measurements of about 1.51 to 1.53 cm sori.    Avg. about 1.5175cm

As mostly a fittings and koshirae collector the last 25 years, I don't have the sori measuring tool that the shinsa teams use.

Price drop to $775 for a week.

Late Edo Higo sort of koshirae, two tsuba, and Japanese woven sageo.

[Warning:   Then, probably I pull it.]

Kinds surprised it hasn't sold. Good well maintained antique koshirae aren't that easy to find anymore.

Yes, I know the sageo is tied wrong. It helped with the former kake.

Seriously interested, please PM.

I would be in heaven being able to buy in USA without extra 25% of customs and vat. You have good items. Keep it up! More they bite better item you sell. We lacking close up of omote side [tsuka-samegawa nodes]
