Jonathan, almost no detail can be seen in your screenshot. Hopefully this helps.

Hard to see that kind of damage is on the blade. Maybe it only needs a good cleaning. It has papers this is good. Uda school is also a nice school, if you like Yamato-den.

Measurements are missing, nagasa looks about 20-25cm...  300GBP i think is a very low price.

9 sun 2 bu according to the Hozon's length specification, i.e. approx. 28.00 cm. I wouldn't have thought so, the tanto looks smaller from the photos...

Yes looks like a very good oil layer to me as well.. couple of other papered swords in the same auction also have a heavy layer of oil….protection from auctioneers ?
