Bruce Pennington Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Nothing on him in Sesko's book. There were several WWII smiths using that "Take" that are pretty much unknown. Quote
Kiipu Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Another mystery swordsmith. Unable to find a second sword made by him so far. Because it has no date, that rules it out as being made under army contract. Quote
Markus Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Hm, I do not have anything on this smith in the records. Looking at certain elements of the shape, e.g., kissaki area, continuation of shinogi in tang, I can't help but think that Takekoshi Hideo may have been an only semi-trained swordsmith, maybe a blacksmith venturing out into making sword blades, or something like these scenarios? 4 Quote
