oneshot onekill Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Well, I picked up a pretty crappy sword that had what looks like a pretty nice Tsuba. Just like everyone else who is new to this I'm in need of whatever information the Experts (You) can give me here. Here are the pics! Thanks in advance, John Quote
Curran Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Heinjo tsuba adapted to gunto. (echo...) Some loss of inlay. Quote
John A Stuart Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Heianjo. The 'A'. It even was echoed amiss. John Quote
Soshin Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 This is the first time I have ever seen a Heianjo-zogan school tsuba with a fairly recent modification to fit into a gunto koshirae. I wonder if this was a common modification during WW2. The tusba might have looked better if it wasn't modified during WW2 even with some of the inlay damage. I really like the aoi-gata with inome designs. David S. (Soshin) Quote
