Jingasa  late Edo period.  Round shape with a turned up front.  Width: 35 cm (13 3/4"); front-back: 35.8 cm (14 1/8"); height 12 cm (4 3/4").  Black lacquer  with brown/silver fleck detail, black edge, red inside. Gold lacquer mon of katabami (oxalis) flower design.  Genuine old material (paper washi?), not fibreglass. Dome feature is rivet of 5 layers gilded brass.  Inside are 8 hooks for padding. Overall very good condition, no cracks, small lacquer chip on dome.  No lining with this. Keen to sell.   Price US$150 plus shipping.
