Brett Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Hello, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to offer translations of the Mei and the Kanji on the side. Arigato! Thanks, -Brett Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Well, if no-one is going to help I will fill in off my head until the specialists appear. The first one seems to read Buzen Kokura-ju X? Masahira Saku And down below, the date is printed on the right of the sheet, and the Mei says something like: Hi-shu Karatsu-ju Kawachi-no-Kami Fujiwara Kaneyuki Quote
Nobody Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 I will fill some parts. The 1st. 豊前小倉住紀政平作 (Buzen Kokura ju Ki (no) Masahira saku) The 2nd. 寶永八歳初春吉祥 – Hoei 8th year (= 1711), early spring, a lucky day 肥州唐津住河内守源本行 (Hishu Karatsu ju Kawachi-no-kami Minamoto Motoyuki) Quote
