I'm lost. I have a 3rd attribution that is totally out of whack (already translated).. maybe time to send it NBTHK since it's in fresh polish.. I appreciate your time @SteveM @Ray Singer J. Quote
Ray Singer Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 The paper on top does not contain any reference to Masahiro nor specify which generation of Tsunahiro this is. Quote
SteveM Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 Now I'm curious about your 3rd translation that's out of whack. I'm dying to know. Quote

Would NBTHK be able to clarify should it pass Tokubetso hozon (no doubt for me)? Where do I find examples of several Tsunahiro generations? Sho shin website mentions 3 generations but that's all I can find. The blade has an interesting hitarsura-like nie clusters (forgot the term for it) and an enormous amount of utsuri primarily by the monouchi area.. none I can capture in a photo.. Thank you J. Quote
Ray Singer Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 Mumei Tsunahiro is extremely unlikely to pass Tokubetsu Hozon. With only a few exceptions, the NBTHK does not pass Tokubetsu Hozon for mumei Muromachi works. Quote
Ray Singer Posted November 3, 2022 Report Posted November 3, 2022 That said, the NBTHK may or may not give more specifics below the attribution at Hozon. They might also give it another attribution altogether. Quote
NewB Posted November 3, 2022 Author Report Posted November 3, 2022 Thank you! Good to know. P.S. it looks nanbokucho but NBTHK will have the say J. Quote
