Hello again from the UK

I have the sword in this link posted on the Nihonto Forum

Apparently there is little known of this Bakumatsu period smith allegedly a pupil of Gassan Sadakazu

TORU2020 has kindly sent me an image of this page from a Japanese book. Sadly and with apologies I am unable to read it and wonder if anyone can pick out anything that tells us more about the smith?

Obviously I am not asking for a full translation…..just anything that gives us an insight into him.

Any help gratefully received! It’s a lovely sword….shame to not be able to “flesh it out a bit”

All the best and many thanks.

Colin

Actually what is written there is not too difficult except the photo is so fuzzy it’s bothersome! It gives you his names and describes his style, but it does say at the end that Sadamitsu was a good smith.

Sorry Piers!!

As Thomas says…it’s much clearer in the link I put in.

Genuinely appreciate your kind  help, thank you

Apologies for any eye strain

All the best

Colin
