I haven't been able to find the kao, but it might be useful to know that the sayagaki was written in 1950 CE (probably in the month of June):

昭和庚寅[六?]月識之

如月 (February)

It was written by someone using the art name of堂  but I can't get the first one, and I can't find any appraiser who used 堂. I'm sure I'll kick myself when the name is revealed.

Thanks Steve for correcting my reading of the month.

As for who wrote the sayagaki, I believe I've found the solution (here).

The art name is 蘇堂 (So Dō), real name 林田等翁 (Hayashida Tōō[?]) 林田等 (Hayashida Hitoshi).

Edit: My bad, 翁 is a honorific, not part of the name.
