Hi Oliver, 

Welcome to NMB - from what I can see from the photos:

 

 I’m not sure that the pictures show a hamon intact along the edge of the blade. It’s quite hazy in the photos but it may just be the polish. 
 

It might be shin Shinto rather than Shinto as I can’t see a very distinct forging pattern and the large kissaki could fit that period as well as early shinto. The patina on the tang is patchy and not very dark which might suggest shin shinto too. 
 

The fittings look ok but nothing special and it’s unsigned which isn’t good in a shinto or later blade.
 

I’d be wary of buying on line where the pictures aren’t clear. I’m sorry but I don’t speak German so I can’t comment on the description.

I would pass. I think you can do better for the money considering its an auction that still has some time to go (I don't think it is a 'buy it now' situation?).

Die "Politur" ist mehr als fraglich und nicht orginal oder gar von jemandem gemacht worden der weiß was er da tut.

Der Hamon ist auf dem zweiten Bild nur noch teilweise fleckig zu erkennen/vorhanden .......vermutlich fehlt da schon einiges 

oder es war nie da.

Alles andere ist nicht klar zu erkennen 

 

Für das Geld bekommst Du was  besseres.
