dhusker Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 I am thinking of buying this tsuba. I believe the design is Plum and Plum flower. What period do you attribute it to and any idea of the value? *picture courtesy of T. Jarrell Quote
Bungo Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 size matters............ if wak size, 125.00 katana size ( > 8cm ), 225 to 275. Deflationary pressure is still with us milt Quote
Rich T Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Milts costings sounds fair. I would call that a fairly generic Edo period Tosho tsuba. Cheers Richard Quote
Brian Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009  Exactly what I was going to say. Meaning it is nothing too special. Maybe even $100 on a good day (looks waki to me) No shortage of these, with various motifs. Unless you are getting it dirt cheap, I think it is worth saving a bit more and getting something a bit more unusual or interesting. Just my 2c Brian Quote
Surfson Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Looks to me like it might possibly be an unsigned Tadatsugu. Any thoughts? Quote
