Mei confirmation

Bugyotsuji

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

May I ask if the reading of this Mei is correct? The registration card says 二王 寛清 (which seems to be Nio Hirokiyo. Also listed in the Meikan as such.).

I accept that is is not very well written, but is there any other possible reading of Kan/Hiro? Notice the legs of 見, being more like 貝. Acceptable?

This Kanji was also used in the age/period 寛正 Kansho  (1460-65) before Onin/Bunmei.

Thank you 🙏

Moriyama San, that is interesting. Thank you very much for this possibility. There were two Nio Sanekiyo, in Eisho 永正 1504~ and 元亀 1570~.

I understand that we cannot be 100% sure, but if the registration certificate is mistaken, that has opened another door for me.
