In the spirit of honesty..typical lowish grade late edo fittings, often done in this design.

I have seen this fuchi many times...almost as many times as that bunch of flowers with angled rod (know which one I mean?) and they were, I suppose, standard grade fittings done profusely during that time period.

thank you for your quick responce brian...i knew it wasnt top grade or even genuine thats why i asked the experts here......many thanks once again

When it comes to fittings, I'm not the near pay grade of many of the folks here, but I'd say with a rather firm conviction that this was put on *much* later. It looks like Nagoya-mono to me.

 

Any of the more knowledgeable want to smack the back of my head now? :lol:
