A few more crumbs... AI now tells me that Seki-shi "Ko" (the neighborhood where this building was located) is part of what is today known as Hon-machi (本町) and Sennen-chō (千年町) near Heiwa-dōri (平和通). So I guess the building was quite close to where the Seki Swordsmith's Museum is located.

Maybe the old building was torn down to make space for this museum??
