Hello guys I thought I would post this here in hopes of learning more about this particular Sword and the crest on the spine of the handle. This one comes in a lot of other blades that I had just picked up local my understanding is this is a naval sword. I would like to learn more about this particular model of sword and its history. Any information given here will be greatly appreciated thank you guys very much, chuck.

Nice condition army company grade (lieutenant to captain) Kyu Gunto dress sword. The blade is the usual non functional style with chemical applied Hamon. Value varies, the family Mon adds some desirability for military sword collectors.

Here is a helpful link on these swords with examples of all rank grades: http://ohmura-study.net/988.html
