John A Stuart Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 I am thinking Sunshu ju Kanesada.駿州住兼貞 John Quote
Krystian Posted August 3, 2018 Author Report Posted August 3, 2018 Thank you John. I also thought about that at first but according to nihontoclub.com there where only few makers in Suruga that signed with 兼. And non of them has similar second kanji. So this one was not know or I have to buy proper literature and stop using internet:) Quote
John A Stuart Posted August 3, 2018 Report Posted August 3, 2018 There is a Kanbun smith that signed such 兼貞 , also had the family name Fujiwara in the mei, but, this is a kogatana and any smiths name can be inscribed either the actual maker or just in homage to a maker. This is likely of the second type. John Quote
