matthew Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 This sword I have just seen in a local antique shop ,just thought I would run it by you guys to see what you think ,it in great condition but with no visable hamon , I'm not sure if its a fake maybe ? asking price £750 gbp Quote
IJASWORDS Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 A mixture of army and navy bits and pieces, with a machine made stainless steel blade. Not a fake but a lot of odd bits thrown together. 1 Quote
Geraint Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 Dear Matthew. At £750 probably not something you would want, time to shop around a bit. (It's always tempting when they are on your doorstep isn't it?) All the best. 1 Quote

PNSSHOGUN Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 Nice condition for what it is, but not at 750 quid. I'd be comfortable at half that price. Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted November 30, 2017 Report Posted November 30, 2017 There actually were navy blades mounted in army fittings, it would have been a tsuka like this one, and a leather-covered saya, used by Naval forces stationed on land and serving with the army. But this one seems to be mission the seppa, and no saya. Either way, like John said, half the price would be more appropriate. Quote
