soflabrian Posted March 26, 2016 Report Posted March 26, 2016 Hi everyone, I've owned this blade for a while and never knew the history of it. I would like to have someone complete it, but wanted to make sure it was worth investing in it since it would be a major investment for me. Most of my others are ww2 which I inherited from my uncle. I believe this one to be older though. Quote

soflabrian Posted March 26, 2016 Author Report Posted March 26, 2016 Thank you Ray. The one thing I do remember is that it supposedly came from the 14th century. I guess that would fall into the late school? Quote
Ray Singer Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 That is correct. Your sword is signed katana-mei. I don't know offhand how often that is seen from this school. Best regards, Ray Thank you Ray. The one thing I do remember is that it supposedly came from the 14th century. I guess that would fall into the late school? Quote
soflabrian Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 Anything else I can do to narrow it down? Thanks, Brian Quote
Ray Singer Posted March 27, 2016 Report Posted March 27, 2016 Clearer photos would be helpful and I am sure that, with better photos of the blade, nakago and mei, others will be able to give you more feedback on your sword. Best regards, Ray Quote
soflabrian Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 Sounds great! Thank you so much for your help Ray. I'm working on some better pics but cameras don't seem to work with me. Lol. 1 Quote
