Is there any tsuba shi in the states who can make a nice Gibbeon meteorite tsuba? Just want to personally have one soo much inclduing a meteorite ( instead of tamahagane) katana as well . Thanks.

that would look fancy but not like a traditional Japanese TSUBA. The meteorite can be forged, but it will loose the Widmannstätten pattern. If you want to keep that, you just have to find a meteorite with the necessary dimensions, cut off a thin slice and shape it like a TSUBA. Would nicely combine with a neon green SAYA, I am afraid.....

The same applies to a KATANA with meteorite steel: no pattern after forging.

Hi. It's alright losing the pattern on the blade but want to keep it on the tsuba. So I'd like to have my shinsaku "Tentesutou" like the photo. For the tsuba, as your recommandation, I would buy a nicely patterned Gibeon and might ask Ford make one for me. Thank you.
